Layered dry-brush washes and matte, near-unpolished passages settle into soft block-like fields and vertical streaks, as though a grid once held the surface and has since been allowed to blur. Cream, beige and tan carry most of the canvas, interrupted by rust and reddish-brown blooms and anchored on the right by a broad charcoal-grey mass. The composition reads as partly architectural, partly textile — a weathered façade, a faded carpet, a memory of structure. It is quiet without being empty; its restraint is the point.
